Additional Info

Silasave is a preservative designed to protect the top layers of silage and prevent mould and fungi growth. It is essential for maintaining the quality and longevity of silage.

Key Features:

• Preserves Silage: Prevents mould and fungi growth on the surface.
• Application Rate: 500gm per square yard.
• Usage:
  • Apply to the top of the pit before covering.
  • Apply an 18-inch band around the pit at 18-inch intervals to reduce side spoilage.
• Safety: Wear rubber gloves and goggles when handling.
• Important Note: Do not roll the pit after applying Silasave.

Instructions for Use:

1. Preparation: Roll the silage pit before applying Silasave.
2. Application:
   • Apply evenly at 500gm per square yard.
   • For a 30ft x 50ft pit, use 4 to 5 buckets.
   • Apply an 18-inch band around the pit at 18-inch intervals to prevent side spoilage.
3. Covering: Apply before covering the pit.
4. Safety Precautions: Wear rubber gloves and goggles during application.

How it Works: Silasave reacts with grass and natural condensation under the pit cover. The organic acid produced seeps through the top 18 inches, preserving the silage and preventing mould and fungi growth.

Protect your silage with Silasave to ensure the top layers remain in optimal condition and free from spoilage.
