Additional Info

The Dargan 6" Economy Vice is a practical and budget-friendly tool designed for various applications in workshops, garages, machine shops, and more. Here are some key details about this economy vice:

• Size: This vice has a 6-inch jaw width, which refers to the width of the jaws when they are fully open. This size makes it suitable for clamping and holding a wide range of workpieces, tools, and materials.

• Fixed Base: The vice is designed with a fixed base, which means it is intended for bench mounting. This fixed installation provides stability and ensures that the vice remains securely in place during use.

• Versatile Clamping: The primary purpose of an economy vice is to securely hold workpieces for tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, and shaping. It provides a reliable grip, allowing you to work on your projects with precision and control.

• Durable Construction: While an economy vice may be more budget-friendly, it is still built with durability in mind. It is typically made from robust materials that can withstand the rigors of various applications.

• Screw Mechanism: The vice is equipped with a screw mechanism and a handle. Rotating the handle allows you to open or close the jaws of the vice to accommodate different workpiece sizes. The screw provides the clamping force needed to hold the workpiece firmly in place.

• Secure Bench Mounting: To use the vice, you need to mount it securely to a workbench or a similar stable surface. This ensures that the vice remains steady and does not move during operation.

• Usage: Economy vices like this one are versatile tools used in metalworking, woodworking, automotive repair, and other tasks where secure clamping is required. They are suitable for DIY enthusiasts, hobbyists, and professionals.

• Budget-Friendly: Economy vices are often chosen for their affordability while still offering reliable performance. They are a practical choice for those who need a dependable vice without breaking the bank.
